2009 Events

Friends of Lifeskills is planning fundraising events for 2010. They provided new monitors for our client computers as well as providing funds for excursions for everyone this year. If you are interested in being a part of the Friends of Lifeskills group in any way, please do not hesitate to phone and let us know.

Lifeskills Annual Concert

Performances this year will include a variety of items – all guaranteed to entertain. Clients and staff encourage everyone to attend.

2009/2010 Major Project

Our ‘Standing Outside the Fire’ Project last year was so successful we have commenced another major project.
Local artists, working in different mediums, have volunteered their services to work with people with disabilities to enable them to explore their artistic ability. We have worked with ceramics( Heather Hutchinson), clay (Linda Field), waste to art (Peter Brooks) and currently working with acrylics (Phyllis Setchell). We will continue with different mediums throughout the year and early next year with different artists.

Everyone has had, and continues to have so much fun – with some really beautiful results. Lifeskills Plus will be having an art exhibition of all our works with official opening at the Fairview Artspace, Henry Lawson Drive in Mudgee near Easter 2010 – more information when it comes to hand.

Exciting news!! Lifeskills clients won the Waste to Art – three dimensional competition with our ‘Poochasaurus.’ A huge thank you to Peter for his support through this process.
