Artists unveiled
September saw the culmination of over twelve months of work by clients of Lifeskills Plus, proudly supported by local artists, when their Outside the Square Art Exhibition was held at the Stables.
It was impressive to see the beautiful results of the Photography, Waste to Art, Acrylics, Felting, Assemblage, Ceramics workshops. Our Lifeskills artists were justifiably proud of themselves at the opening of the exhibition and throughout.
Thank you to Heather Hutchinson, Peter Brookes, Linda Field, Colin Jones, Helen Doble and Phyllis Setchell for their workshops and support. A huge thank you to Colin Jones who was also our curator for the event, Lee Paine and her band of volunteers from Mudgee Arts Council who were the gallery guides for the exhibition and to Rose Peake for her invaluable assistance throughout the project.

We will be providing ongoing opportunities for artistic expression in the future.
We have some wonderful postcards of the Outside the Square Art on sale for $2 which are available from Lifeskills office.
Our Biggest Project yet!!
A New Purpose Built Centre – a community project
As a result of consultations with clients, their families, other service providers and the community it was agreed that our biggest need was to have a purpose built facility. This facility would allow us to better provide services to our clients from all over the Mid West Regional LGA which includes Kandos, Rylestone, Illford, Hargraves, Gulgong and Mudgee.
After some exceptional generosity from people in our community and a lot of work by people at Lifeskills we now have 2 blocks of land and a development application submitted to council.
We are proud to have the support of our community and would like to thank everyone who has come on board to help us with our exciting new venture.
