Lifeskills is pleased to have the support of our community

People wishing to support people with disabilities at Lifeskills as a volunteer can do so in three areas:

Direct Care.

Community members offer support to staff in areas of their own interest or expertise eg. woodwork, craft, music, dancing, transport or going with clients to bingo etc.

All people volunteering to work with clients are required to undertake a Criminal Record Check prior to commencement.

Friends of Lifeskills Group

Parents and people from community join together to enjoy each other’s company and raise funds for equipment, excursions etc for people in our care. Group is coordinated by Narelle Salter

Committee

Committee members who include people in the community, parents and advocates of people with disabilities and client representatives meet bi-monthly at 24 Perry Street, Mudgee
Lifeskills Plus Inc. is looking for interested persons who have skills/experience in working with people with disabilities, finances, human resources or business management.

Building Sub Committee meets on the alternate months.

Role of committee is to:

• Oversee financial management of organization
  Ensure Disability Service Standards, Occupational Health and Safety legislation, Funding Guidelines and all other ongoing legal requirements are adhered to
  
• Committee members who include people in the community, parents and advocates of people with disabilities and client representatives meet bi-monthly at 24 Perry Street, Mudgee
• Lifeskills Plus Inc. is looking for interested persons who have skills/experience in working with people with disabilities, finances, human resources or business management.
• Building Sub Committee meets on the alternate months and are working together towards a purpose built premises in Mudgee for Lifeskills Plus Inc. clients and staff.
